Tai Chi

Can you identify this style?

This old video is obviously instructional but I cannot read the language nor do I recognize the form / style.   One of the YouTube comments claims it is “Yi Jin Jing” but unfortunately there is no “about” section to learn more.  What text there is in the video is not in English.

With that said, the content is instructive enough that a viewer can learn from it by just watching and modeling.  Perhaps that’s why it has received almost 171,580  views at the time of this blog post?

The video quality is steady and acceptably clear (slightly pixelated but not to the point of distraction).  The  demonstration looks to be in real-time and the camera focuses in on hand, arm, feet positions so we can get a closer look.

I invite comments and discussion of your thoughts about this video.

Looking for another great instructional video?  Check out this excellent video by Master Christopher Pei.  He freely gives us one hour of content consisting of theory, philosophy and demonstration!

I don’t think it is taiji – but a set of exercises either qigong or for the tendons and muscles.

It sure looks like some of the yi Jin Jing that I have seen. I will have to watch this in its entirety to get a better idea.

I welcome your thoughts, insights or questions
