Tai Chi for Arthritis

Tai Chi is usually practiced for relaxation, stress reduction, flexability, and tons of other great holistic health and wellness benefits.  But Tai Chi is also proven to help many specific health conditions; one in particular is arthritis.  In this blog post I chose Dr. Paul Lam’s video clip because Dr. Lam is one of the most popular Tai Chi instructors for arthritis, partly because years ago he began a personal tai chi for arthritis journey to manage his own  personal battle with arthritis!

This video is a full 59 minutes.  The beginning 15 minutes of this video is information, but don’t skip over it because if you are new to Tai Chi, this is very informative and helpful!  Then Dr. Lam shows us parts of the Tai Chi program  with a group of his own students demonstrating.   It is important to remember when watching this video that  goal here is to apply Tai Chi to relieve arthritis symptoms, not to become an expert in one particular style of Tai Chi.

Thank you Dr. Lam for making this video public – we will try to help you get the word out there!
